000094 #human when we gave dottie her little party and her sister and everybody was there and she hadn't expected it, she flushed and smiled till her cheeks took over and she hugged everybody, even me--twice!--and she said "i have friends, i have special friends! what else could i want!" and by god she MEANT it, and even if she didn't work at a crappy ol' restaurant long hours for little pay it STILL would have been the most beautiful thing in the world to be there.
