You wanted some people and an environment that cared enough to build a large, well-lit, semipermeable structure for you to live in each day until the summer. Yeah, you wanted to complain about it; you wanted to resent being babied. But all along, underneath it all, you were grateful for the privelege of having something safe to complain about. They've built that here. But you don't do that for your students. It's partly your fault, and it's partly a failing on the part of the school's society and culture. You need to decide if you are going to do it from now on or not, and if not, you need to do something else of value. It's that simple. Your current happiness is impaired by the dissonance of your hypocritical situation. You can't hide from it anymore.
