## proposal i just have a proposal. that we have a place, that we make the country a place, that the new normal become not debate but discussion. that we actually listen to each other (and ask why do we see this differently, etc) that everyone can get an education. that i can talk that way in my community, in my circles, you can talk that way in yours. i don’t know that much about policy and these huge decisions, but i want you to be able to listen to people who do. so if you insist on a debate, then i concede the debate. i woke up before they actually got it going,but we were all there and ready in the room. he was at his pdium many minutes before the start; i was in my little partition with friends from school, etc. someone asked if i was nervous and i said i’m cool as a cucumber. i just had a few notes scribbled on scrap paper; possible clarifications or responses to objections to my one point. half awake, i imagined him “debunking” something about the environment and migratory bird populations (climate change) by saying look, look out the window, theres birds on the horizon, and i was going to say theres humans buzzing around right in this room, but we’re still in danger
