date: 072415091207 #For this to be worth anything, any particular piece of it has to be essentially worthless. If each node is supposed to be a “thing,” then you will never really be able to use it for any kind of exploration or discovery. You have to walk through the weeds and just see what you see, and you cant do that if you alrdy know what you’re supposed to be seeing. It’s one of those things like meditation that is so easy it’s hard. Just make the grass and mid and weeds and pebbles and shit and meaningless corners of parking lots and a piece of a letter that fell off a fender. Along with a zillion other things that dont even have names. It has to be not like a curated collection of preciousness, but like the library of babel. What you think of as “content” is only for later analysis by people who have time for that kind of thing. Right now all we need is a stream of characters. The “content” can o nly be accidental. Otherwise, your preconcieved notion of what content even is—the valuation you bring to the information stream—will kill the aliveness of randomness. Randomness is life. Art is stagnation.
