Guy who sort of (doublethink?) believes that when he twiddles with whatever computer stuff is available in just the right way, the room he is in actually becomes some sort of space (later time?) ship. For instance, one time he gas downloaded the instructions (but we kind if have to figure out ourselves from context clues, like Captain Kirk and Spock start talking on screen) from some some kind of star trek game fan site. He enters the right key commands in just the right arcane way, and the arcade room he has weirdly shut the other hotel guests out of (he got a weird look but the guy backed off when he had said DON'T come in here, and don't try to hang on because when this thing takes off it'll rip your arms right off!) slowly, sort of reluctantly maybe?, takes off, heading out over the city. He is reassured by his inability to see the pool area behind the condensation on the glass door. And yet there is one detail that nags him: he hadn't been able to find the "clear" key before, so he typed ":-J" instead of ":-clear". What's weird is, it still worked. Why should that bother him, of course, and yet....
