i was in a circle with people. we were harmonizing and rhythmatizing with a folk song sung by a strong but gentle male voice. there were many tambourines; i think i had one. i didnt notice until the end, right before i woke up, that i didnt really care for the rhythm the majority of the tambourine shakers had taken up. it seemed club-footed, insensitive, unsubtle. i had been hearing the whole thing differently through the song, hearing it the way i was playing it and the way i felt the man was singing it.
