21 April 1994. Now what the fuck was that? In a dream, Don was playing a CD for me, a female vocalist, very sinuous and sensuous, and trying to explain--something to me. He did this by building a model of a bizarre-looking particle accelerator, fairly big in the back yard, lit up with little Christmas lights, and he was very empassioned while doing it, and it was clear that he was doing it solely for my sake. Then the fam. went for a drive somewhere in one of those pathetically big cars, and I was instructed to look at the model from the window--only we kept twisting and turning so much, it nearly made me carsick. Next scene, I was sitting sort of near Don&Mom&CJ at a SEMO faculty awards/recognition type thing, only I was closer to Annes family, and, having been thru the unusual moment of intense personal interaction with Don, I was feeling shaken up and stuff, and wanted bad to talk to Anne, because I was in the dream, as in life, terribly terribly in love with her. But we were at this thing, so mostly I just had to listen. A native American dude and some others acted out a very warlike ritual. It was wild. A lot of people in the audience, in fact a lot of people in the performance, refused to get into it though, and giggled a lot. Next scene, getting stoned in somebodys apartment, with Scott E. and others, feeling bad because D&R were there watching me. Though I think Ruth was smokin too. O no, before that part was the funeral part. Someone on Ruths side of the family was dead, and I was having a hard time acting appropriately, I guess. I ran around town with Bryant Parks when I should have, according to Dad, been readily available. O and before that, at the Salvation army thrift store--only it was much darker and groovier than the one here--with Pam, I found a BITCHIN old Remington or Royal or something like that. It was all sort of squatty and round and buglike and green. It was awesome, but I left before I remembered to buy it. I said to myself Id buy it instead of the Tracball! Then I tried to go back with Bryant, because we heard it was open till midnight, but I dont know why we never made it there. O no yes we did make it there, and I bought the thing, and typed some on it. It had excellent action, and dark and broody characters.
