is like last year's model, picturesque but not quite antique, still works fine but you know there's a lot of newer options out there that will really probably work a lot better for you. But yeah, you know, if it still works, why pay the extra, right?
and it's foggy and the neon's coming on
and you can find vines crawling all over yellow stone, and angled streets, collapsing latticework, a small garage hunkered under a drafty house
and the cold is coming up through the asphalt and you'd better find someplace to go
sit real still at the cusp of brick and cloud, a dilapidated window pane will zoom out around you, take you in, give you a job, you'll be ok for now, enough to keep the heat on
i mean it looks like something out of a half-struck stage set, the lines aren't parallel, are sagging towards the belly of the earth, the paint is peeling, it's over some lonely bar, across from a thrift store, this road used to be just a dirt track, you can practically still smell the horse shit, some tiles on the floor are broken, there's an old chair to sit in that needs to be refinished, but hey
you know if you don't always have to have the newest thing, it may be all you really need. in some ways it's even better than the newest thing, there's still some people walking on the dirty streets
