It's not as though nothing unpleasant or twisted up ever happens around the table at cael's kitchen, it does. It's just people or monkeys or whatever after all, same as anywhere else. It's just that when the drama comes into the room, there's always the right amount of wine or silence or waiting to go with it. Theres, well, there's someone there. It's a house with people in it. And if no one's home, then their raincoat is on the hook by the door, above the boards of the floor, and the sunlight comes slanting in thru the bathroom window, and they'll probably be home later, and the quiet may be just what you need, for a little while, until then.
