Jammed on Janesville. Libby and Celi both made it all the way across the blow-up bouncy wipeout thing. Sophia didn't. But I am in no way gloating because I'm not like that. They enjoyed the trolley and so did I, riding it with them in the cool evening breezes as Muskego just a tiny little bit seemed somehow like someplace kind of special, magnetized—with people being out and vulnerable, wide-eyed and cautious, nervous and young, old and still kicking, alive. Meg & Mil & Sasha somehow managed to pick up Ivy, I was a bit concerned about where they were until I heard the giggles and high voices experimenting with proclamations and disavowals; they were swishing thru the weeds between here & Aldi's, coming home, and Megan said oh by the way Ivy's spending the night too and I didn't give a lecture about respect, I just said OK because that's what I meant.
