#Authenticity speaks when it wants to
So does addiction —figuring out how to listen to it, how to hear its various channels, is like putting together groups of three four or five in a candy crush game—to address it you have to see it as an organized pattern first. You have to see which bits go with which bits to form an organism, and then you can decide what your relationship with that organism is. But until you connect the dots, you're at the mercy of a chaotic stochastic storm of helplessness. You wonder why you're drunk all the time, even though you quit drinking. It's cuz you didn't go to the next level yet. What's the next level for you?
And then you’re wondering, well what’s going to be left? After I get rid of all these levels, what’s going to be left of me? What will I fill my time with if I’m no longer a pleasure bot? What I sit and do or think about?
It’s as scary as the ocean must have been, and space.
