What is the significance of (take any story or movie or whatever that does this, but the most recent example I’ve seen is that *Descendants* Disney movie I watched with the girls) when the crowd/spectators/extras/citizens/civilians get frozen by the evil witch, while the main characters have to do whatever they have to do to finish the climactic scene? (Like, who *are* those people, and who are *you* supposed to identify with, but then we can’t *all* be the main characters, can we? Or is it all a matter of point of view? Does everybody else freeze for *everyone* at certain moments, because, you know, like “some things you must face alone” and shit like that? Is it like some kind of narrative relativism? What happens when narrative relativism turns into narcissism? (2017)
