#pdp We’re using all the “free” services and programs and sites. In other words, we’re using commercial, ad-supported products for school. Like, not just “for” school, but intimately, inextricably in the name of education. Remember when there was a furor over Coke machines and a few localized adverts here and there? This is way beyond that—so far beyond, that we didn’t even notice or question it. So what are we leading their eyeballs to, beyond what we’re supposedly teaching? (2017)
