051906 Well, here we are, glits. Favor the steak smoke after every picnic heyday. Sunny! Sun! Glint-top green-tree evermore companions. Hazing into fog is afternoon and evening. Comes. The dark. Companion.
What?
053106 Wekk, what the hell! Its not even january and i'm already . . .
Mildly Buzzed at HiFi.
Serenity among the sirens. The eternal quest for Power.
The guilt creeps in like a weed, serpentine around my chest and neck.
It is the guilt, again! Smoking out back by the dock. Laughing at me with those silent, hound dog eyes. The only way to kill the guilt, is to catch the magic snail!
complaints: • She acts as though it's a big deal that I want to get the receipts from her purchases. As if I'm being obsessive. As if it's abnormal to be concerned about the fucking bank balance. When she was in charge of the checkbook, we bounced checks regularly. The fact is, we're still spending more than we're making. She doesn't seem willing to acknowledge that. I'm terrified that she's going to ruin us after I get a teaching job, because she's going to think she can just go out and drop a hundred bucks at Wal Mart any god damned time she feels like it.
• She writes all kinds of checks and does eBay and PayPal transactions, but she doesn't tell me about them, nor what they were for.
And what are you going to do about it?
I talked to her -- said we should hurry up and put some into savings before we spend it all. We talked about why we've been spending so much lately (birthdays, DSL stuff, etc), and reaffirmed that we need to slow down. I reminded her to give me the check amounts. It went well. The only part less than fully satisfying is the general nature of our conclusions (ie, no exact action plan).
