A question for today is: How do you see the plan of scheduled writing times—how will it be effective, how will you use it, what are the guidelines…? As to this second job that I can do at home, with no guaranteed pay rate, with the windows open and the clear a.m. breezes eddying in, here are some important points: • It doesn’t so much matter exactly what I write, just so I work on something. And by “work” I don’t mean it has to be Literature-with-a-capital-“L”, but if it’s not directly work on a story, poem, play or whatever, then at least try to do as in Trudy’s class, and discuss a focused question. Focusing that way is good exercise; it generally leads your mind away from the brain-path of least resistance. • There is no need to try to set speed records; however, don’t sit around catering to every petty distraction in the room. • There is no minimum amount of words to put out, or anything like that—and it doesn’t have to be good! As in Klepack’s class, the process is what we’re practicing here, not the finished product. I mean, I do want finished products in my life, but worrying about that too much while you’re working distracts from the working, n’est-ce pas? • The plan is a way to reduce dependency on Gods and Randomness. If there is a “talent,” or “inspiration” or something I can’t do anything about, then so be it—worrying about it will do no good. Work I can do, thereby dramatically increasing the chances of some happy accidents’ occuring. • Overall, listen to your instincts. You alone can know when you’re ready to move on from doing one thing to doing another, so just don’t cheat yourself. And don’t freak out and get tense for no reason—remember to let yourself enjoy it; that’s what it’s for, after all. Well, it’s been a whole quarter of an hour, woo woo! I guess I’ll go on and work on my current story. uÓˇÏ"ÿ"ÿHnˇÏvˇ??®©HnˇÏ®°BE`T Ed ?<ÑN∫¨^TO` ?<ÖN∫¨RTO6H√(∆¸*HD»¸*HDBD÷Ñ÷å$Cp-’¿/ C(,p/p$—¿/Bg©ŒRE Ee¶?®ä?®á?.ˇÙ®à nˇË†*Lfl¯N^NuNVHÁ0$n g$ R&h g K†# R&h g/ ?<(©Á J†#Lfl N^NuNVˇHÁ0&nYO©$_`&/ Hnˇ©UO/ HnˇB'pN≠∫0f ` $jê f÷pLfl N^NuNVˇ¸HÁ8(nYO©$ -@ˇ¸`XYO/.ˇ¸©&_ g>$S Äinfof2 j$±Ãf*/ N∫ˇ>XO$nˇ¸/.ˇ¸Bß© nˇ¸ (ê-@ˇ¸/ ©SmÓZ` nˇ¸ (ê-@ˇ¸ .ˇ¸f¢p(;@Ó\;@Ó^LflN^NuNV/Éá∫’¥¿åèY\˙Ù˙Ù˙Ù˙Ù˙Ó @ @/ã /ã ∂∑_Ûn¬„ÒÛY˘Ú˘Ëfi‘  Ú√h &Ñh˛òh &Ñh˛òh &Ñh˛òh &Ñh˛òh&Ñh&Ñh "ˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇTITLESˇ pam's stuff#ˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇ Ä$$ÿˇˇˇTÙ –†pH‡ ˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇ–†pH%¯@ˇ †ÙˆfiYYYPˇˇ\Yêëíì˛U¶—“”‘’ÿ⁄˜ ” û °Ô7hæ#è&p&q*ë.ó/-/ã/—3™3´3¨3≠3Æ3Ø3∞3±3≤7Ö9Á9Ë9È9Í9Î9Ï9Ì9Ó9Ô99Ò9Ú9Û9Ù::::::::æ;œ?ˇHH˘XˇÊˇÌj(¸,, ‰ `,-†^Ï&'d@t1ƒ††††–B@H-:LaserWriter 300/LS ÄÛÛÄÄÛK?
