## what's wrong 042518
042518
I’m going to tell you what’s wrong, the old guy said, what all’s going wrong here right now.
1. there’s a fucking big ass TV in Rochambo. That makes me want to puke/cry.
2. the barrista with the improbably red lipstick just said “I’m feeling pressure... rents are going up in Riverwest....”
3. ten minutes ago i just walked past the window where twenty years ago was my bedroom. twenty years ago (I can only assume) I probably thought of twenty years as basically half of forever. I probably assumed so much would happen, just by default, just by virtue of all those nameless, graffiti-covered years just trundling by like an endless line of boxcars, while you’re sitting tapping the steering wheel and looking brightly around and singing because you’ve got all god damned day and the sun’s out and what the fuck why not, you’ll probably get laid tonight, and if not, you’ll probably do something else fun involving people and railroad tracks and brady street and rochambo and people and
4. a lot does happen (did happen) but a shit ton of it fucking sucks, partly because you let it, and partly because trains derail sometimes bitch, deal with it
5. the computers in here are both more plentiful and more homogenous
6. half the reason i came here was because i had to piss. again.
7. some young woman behind me at a table of two young women and two expensive homogenous computers just said, “I’m feeling a lot of stress lately... like more than usual....”
8. did I mention there’s a FUCKING TV in Rochambo??
9. plus they were out of gunpowder green and the kid was like, ummmm, i don’t know.... and offered me this other green which is nice but really mild. the tea’s nice but the water’s lukewarm
10. and the faces that hover above the shiny computers seem more homogenous too, but maybe that’s just me
11. when you get tired of the old guy’s bloviating, just turn, just spin on the stool next to him and ask him, hey how’s your prostate?
