I’m having cold capicola, greek olives, Breton crackers with cream cheese spread, and an “All Day IPA.”
I took Lib & Cel to the Color Run at Bay Lane, and Tricia Weis said, “We have an extra shirt, if you want to run,” and I think she was half joking, but I said OK and had a really good time jogging barefoot thru the grass and having colorful corn starch thrown all over me by kids and parents alike, and throwing it all over them too. Melissa Sanfellippo took a picture of us and sent it to me. Jogging was super easy; I think it’s because of all the long walks I’ve been taking lately.
Then Millie asked me to help her do cartwheels and that got me in the mood to do more Capoeira stuff after all these years so I joined in the class with her in Milwaukee and did OK. I pulled a muscle in my leg but didn’t hurt my back! Graduado Daniel was nice to me, and that one girl (Jeannie?) and kind of that other cappucino-colored girl with short hair, and that one kinda fat guy. The other ones weren’t mean or anything.
Tomorrow’s drumming.
Friday’s Cave of the Mounds with Cel.
Tuesday was Megan’s band concert. Holly is so weird. Standing in the atrium, looking at the crowd, waiting for Megan to come out afterwards, she said, “I’ve got to get out more. Is this what people are like now?” I said “What do you mean?” She said “Ah, I don’t know.” Then we all said we were going to Culver’s but she just disappeared.
I got a little behind on grading but I should be able to catch up tomorrow. Got to. A lot rides on doing a good job at the basics of this job. Jason picked me to go to San Diego in December with him and do a presentation for a huge AVID conference.
Not bad, not bad.
